Ruptured main causes temporary service interruption

Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in Chalan Laulau, Beach Road, and Middle Road are experiencing a temporary water service interruption resulting from a ruptured l6-inch water main below As Terlaje Hill on Chalan Monsignor Guerrero.

CUC Water Personnel discovered the line break when water began to seep out of the pavement along the innermost eastbound lane just below As Terlaje Hill. Both of the eastbound lanes are currently closed to traffic as crews excavate the site. For the safety of our men and women working at the site, motorists are urged to slow down when traveling through the area.

Repairs are anticipated to be completed by Thursday, March 3, 2016, and customers in the affected area should expect restoration of services.

CUC customers in the village of Gualo Rai, meanwhile, will also experience a temporary water service interruption on Thursday, March 3, from 8am to 5pm, as USA Fanter installs new pipes on the Gualo Rai Tank replacement project.

Water service hours will return back to regular service hours on Friday, March 4,2016. Updates will follow as soon as they are available.
