Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan volunteers cleaned their adopted 1-mile highway along Beach Road last Saturday.
Nine members of the Pacific Century Fellows inaugural class of 2014 and 38 employees of Fiesta Resort & Spa took to the streets of Garapan and collected 26 bags of trash and debris weighing approximately 150 lbs.
The Saturday cleanup marks the first highway cleanup day for Fiesta Resort & Spa this year. The hotel adopted the 1-mile stretch along Beach Road from the Fire Department to Angaha Road in 2013 as part of its commitment to help keep the CNMI clean and beautiful. The cleanups are held on a monthly basis.
“We wish to extend our appreciation to members of the inaugural class of 2014 Pacific Century Fellows and Fiesta volunteers for being a part of the movement to help ‘Beautify CNMI,’” said Fiesta general manager Abner Acosta, also a PCF 2014 alumnus.
The Pacific Century Fellows partnered with Project Ayudu and held a 5K “Back On Our Feet” walk last Oct. 3, 2015 to raise funds to rebuild and restore homes damaged or destroyed by Typhoon Soudelor. (PR)
