Genesis Cup rosters out
The list of players from the nine participating teams in the 5th Genesis Cup Christian Churches Inter-Color Basketball League has been released.
Defending champion Caleb, which stunned Daniel in last year’s finale, 91-88, will be bannered by defense specialist Yosh Gabaldon. He will be joined by Angel Hernaez, Greg Arriola, Efren Reyes Jr., Edison Castro, Denmark Lizardo, Chris Joson, Ernie Henzon, Rolly Castro, Gener Lansangan, Ramon Tombok, Russel Dequito, and Alex Gozon.
The runner-up Daniel will have lefty Marlo Ibanez, who will team up with Lawrence Borja, Jonathan Ibahan, Rommel Besmonte, Edgar Deang, Ronie Guevarra, Mike Calibo, Elvin Lopez, Orley Abiera, Rodel Morales, Mark Rabago, and Pastor Roger Abe.
Genesis Cup main organizer and Agape Christian School coach Noel Puno will anchor Joshua, which also has Jay Nunag, Alain Nunez, Benjie Cruz, Mark Puno, Rommel Valdellor, Arvin Daluyen, Dean Tenorio, Jaymark Paclibar, Donald De Luna, Aiwayne Sagun, Raul Acbo, Noel Ong, and Ambet Omampo.
Wingman Mike Cabanas leads Jeremiah and will join forces with Fred Fatialofa, Mark Sayas, Paul Bonquin, Mark Deala, Isagani Cortez, Cerillo Batingal, Mike Magofna, George Lizardo, Norman Vergara, , Rodel Lonzaga, Noel Conti, and Joel Buniag.
Meanwhile, the rosters of the other teams are as follows: Francis Estanislao, Nathan Huddleston, Mike Manalang, Willie Sacdalan, Gener Cabaobas, Allan David, Raymond Casuncad, Joseph Pasaylo, Jess Pacia, Edwin Montoya, Michael Ibanez, Ramsa Tenepere and Oliver Gragasin for Isaiah; Brad Demapan, Joseph Gatdula, Dennis Santos, Rey Darag, J.C. Libut, Art Borromeo, Allan Chavez, Brendon Perez, Kym Cheng, Rolando Balte, Frank Dalusonh, and Greg De Leon for Gideon;

A series of tune-up games will be scheduled beginning this Saturday, while teams are waiting for their respective uniforms to be completed.
Meanwhile, league organizers will work on the rosters for the youth division, which is for players in the 13 to 18 age group. More than 50 players are entered in the youth division and they will be divided into five teams.
The Genesis Cup is expected to kick off next month.
