13th Annual NMC Foundation Open Golf Tournament set for April 30
In its effort to advance post secondary education in the CNMI, the Northern Marianas College Foundation has announced that its signature event, the Annual NMC Foundation Open Golf Tournament, will be held on April 30 on the west course of the Laolao Bay Golf Resort.
This will mark the 13th year of the tournament and falls on NMC’s 35th anniversary. It is a pivotal year for the college as it continues its recovery from Typhoon Soudelor, which damaged nearly half of the campus.
The NMC Foundation is composed of community volunteers committed to elevating higher education opportunities for CNMI students. “
“The Northern Marianas College Foundation is excited to announce our 13th Annual NMC Golf Tournament. This year marks a milestone as we join NMC in celebrating 35 years of continued commitment to providing higher education that is accessible to all students within the Commonwealth,” says NMC Foundation president Mable Ayuyu.
“We are thankful for the continued support of members in our community, members of our island’s golf associations and businesses,” Ayuyu added.
Funds generated from this event will be used to support the college’s various education programs, especially NMC’s School of Business.
The entrance fee for the tournament is only $100 per player. Interested players are also invited to bring their family, friends, and playing partners for a fantastic day of fun and fundraising for a good cause. There will be six flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, Seniors, and Ladies.
Companies or individuals who are interested in sponsoring the event, or who may be interested in registering to play can contact the Northern Marianas College at 237-6780 or email Foundation director James Glenn at james.glenn@marianas.edu for more information.
Registration forms are also available at Laolao Golf Resort and at the NMC Cashier (Building N: hours of operation from 9am to4pm), where payments for the registration fee can be made, as well. (NMC)
