: Kids scurry to the stage to get lucky charms pulled out from a magic tube by a lady magician from China, one of the performers at the Lunar New Year celebrations last Saturday at the Paseo de Marianas. The event was organized jointly by the Chinese Association of Saipan, CNMI and the Korean Association of Saipan.

: The Chinese Association of Saipan had a dumpling-making booth at the festival.

: For her finale, a Korean lady magician turns a wet napkin into confetti.

: A “face changing” performer dances on stage.

: With a different face or mask on, the performer goes around the crowd to reveal another one of her faces.

: Korean Taekwondo moves were showcased by young Koreans.

: Young Koreans feature and sell their traditional food.

: A Chinese dancer performs a traditional dance for the crowd. The second week of the joint Lunar New Year celebrations will be held on Feb. 20.
