The annual McFun Run will be held by the Rotary Club of Saipan and the McDonald’s Family Restaurants of Saipan this month.

The event is set for Feb. 20, a Saturday, at 6:15am.

This year, the Rotary Club aims to double the amount of funds they were able to raise last year. Nearly 200 joined the McFun Run last year and the club was able to raise around $3,000.

Like the previous year, there will be a 5K and 10K run. This year, the run will start and end at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan.

The 5K turn around will be in front of STAR Water in Beach Road, and the 10K turnaround will be in front of Oleai Beach Bar and Grill.

Aside from individual runs, the organizers also added a group category called “I’m Loving It” team.

“We did a little twist this year,” Rotary president Curtis Dancoe said, “We’ve set up two categories. The first one is the individual category and the second one is a team category. The team category represents 10 people.”

The Rotary Club will be conducting an awards ceremony as well as draw raffle prizes after the run. Free T-shirts will also be given away.

Registration fees this year are $10 for students and $15 for adults.

Registration forms are available at T-Galleria Security Booth Area in Garapan, AK Toyota in San Jose, and Megabyte in Gualo Rai.
