NMSA seeks committee chairs for 2021 Mini Games
The 2021 Pacific Mini Games Organizing Committee is seeking expressions of interest from persons who wish to serve as chairs of seven committees.
The committees were infrastructure, facilities, and equipment; international relations; games village and support services; technology and systems; commercial services; human resources; and revenue and marketing.
The chairs of the committees will serve as members of the Organizing Committee, according to Northern Marianas Sports Association president Michael White. The Committee will plan and deliver the 2021 Pacific Mini Games, which will be held in June 2021.
The 2021 Games will be the biggest sporting event ever held in the Northern Marianas. NMSA anticipates nearly 2000 athletes, coaches, officials, friends, and their families coming to Saipan. White, who also chairs the Organizing Committee, added in a press statement that advance planning and preparation are critical to the success of the Games that will offer 12 sports.
“We’re looking for people who are committed to delivering a first-class Games that we can all be proud of, and that will leave a lasting legacy for the people of the Northern Marianas. We’re looking for people who are knowledgeable, experienced, dedicated, and most of all enthusiastic, to help us make these Games the best ever. There’s no pay, other than the satisfaction of a job well done,” White said.
“If you would like to be a part of all this, send us a letter, telling us what committee you’d like to chair, and why you think you’d be a good candidate for the position. Please attach a copy of your resume. If you have questions, please feel free to send them by email, and we will try to answer them,” the NMSA head added.
Responses must be sent to the 2021 Pacific Mini Games Organizing Committee by email, to mwhite@saipan.com; by fax, to 234-6547; or by snail mail, P. O. Box 5222, Saipan, MP 96950. Deadline for submission of responses is on Feb. 29. (PR)
