360 Restaurant barged into the win column of the 2016 Emon Lodge No. 179 Brotherhood Basketball League after a 68-47 rout of Armatech yesterday at the Civic Center Basketball Court.

Andrew Ashburn led 360 Restaurant’s first victory after firing a game-high 27 points. Kennedy Viray backed him up, adding 14.

360 Restaurant’s 1-2 punch anchored the team’s strong start, as it took a 26-5 lead in the first quarter against the depleted Armatech crew. Ashburn scored 10 points in the first frame, while Viray chipped in 8.

Armatech, which had only seven players for last weekend’s game, was held to two field goals in the opening canto with Martin Moreno recording all of the team’s 5 points off a triple and a layup.

Armatech picked up its scoring in the second quarter with James Abuy stepping up and knocking all his 8 markers to cut the deficit to 10 at the break, 32-42. 360 Restaurant failed to keep its momentum in the second period with Ashburn and Viray limited to one field goal apiece and Zack Johnson and Lawrence Borja also making only one basket each.

Ashburn then regained his form in the third canto to stretch their lead to 12, 58-26, and 360 Restaurant never looked backed to recover from its debut loss to GPPC earlier this month.

Armatech, which got 11 points from Moreno, absorbed its second loss in as many games as it also dropped its opener against Shirley’s Coffeee Cup.

Meanwhile, the first game last Sunday was won by Mobil after a no-show from Blue Haus. Mobil is now in the solo lead with its perfect 3-0 record, while Blue Haus fell to a 1-1 slate. Blue Haus notched its first win against BSI, 78-60.

Angelo Fernando led Blue Haus’ rout of BSI, as he tallied 22 points, while Brendon Talania added 18. Manolo Manalo was the third double-figure scorer for Blue Haus, contributing 12. Angelo Factor paced BSI with his 14 points.

BSI is 0-2 as it also lost its opener against Ace Hardware (2-0).

360 68—Ashburn 27, Viray 14, Hernandez 8, Cabanas 6, Gatdula 5, Borja 2, Dayrit 2.

Armatehc 47 — Moreno 11, Tolosa 10, Abuy 8, Berline 7, Park 6, Gabaldon 5.

Scoring by quarters: 26-5, 34-21, 58-36, 68-47.
