Water interruption at Afetnas today
Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in Afetnas will experience an emergency power interruption Wednesday morning to allow linemen safe access to replace a rotten power pole.

At 9am, CUC line crews will temporarily interrupt power service along Afetnas Road to the Duaenas family compound. The pole replacement is expected to take up to three hours to complete, at which time power will be restored to the area.

Regional Language Arts Conference Feb. 19-20
The University of Guam’s 28th Annual Regional Language Arts Conference will be held at the Pacific Star Hotel on Friday, Feb. 19, from 4pm to 6pm, and on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 8am to 4pm.

Green flag for Managaha, Tinian beaches
The Division of Environmental Quality has given the waters off Managaha and Tinian a green flag.

DEQ analyzes water samples collected from Managaha’s and Tinian’s recreational beaches and docks this week as part of the regularly scheduled sampling. None of the samples collected contained excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria nor did they exceed the CNMI Marine Water Quality Standards.

The division analyzed a total of 11 samples from the shore surrounding Managaha and 10 samples from the shore surrounding Tinian this week.

Marine Water Quality Reports are also provided at www.deq.gov.mp/sec.asp?secD=52. Interested individuals and organizations can also receive email notifications for the weekly marine water quality reports. To do so, please send an email to waterqualityreport@deq.gov.mp
