The federal court has revoked again the supervised release of probationer Vicente Aldan Sablan for using methamphetamine or “ice” anew and for violating other conditions.

U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona last week sentenced Sablan to imprisonment of five days.

Manglona said upon release today, Tuesday, Sablan will be placed on 34 months of supervised release.

During the supervised release, the defendant will be required, among other things, to participate in a substance abuse treatment program.

Sablan admitted to violating the allegations in the petition to revoke his supervised release.

U.S. probation officer Gregory Arriola recommended a five-month sentence and that the defendant shall participate in the drug court program.

Assistant U.S. attorney Garth Backe recommended the revocation of defendant’s supervised release, imposition of prison term, and participation in drug court.

Attorney Janet H. King, court-appointed counsel for Sablan, recommended a supervised release and no prison term because of his current employment.

King said Sablan is willing to participate in the drug court program.

According to Arriola, Sablan used methamphetamine on Oct. 15, 26, and Nov. 3, 2015.

Arriola said Sablan failed to report for random drug testing on Oct. 11, 17, 18, and Nov. 3, 2015.

Sablan also failed to report for substance abuse treatment on Oct. 17, 19, 20, and 21, 2015.

Sablan pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and was sentenced in April 2014 to eight months imprisonment, with credit of 28 days. He was placed on three-year supervised release.

In February 2015, the court revoked Sablan’s supervised release and sentenced him to one month in prison and 35 months of supervised release for drug use and failure to comply with the substance abuse program.
