Renamed cage group releases schedule for first quarter
The CNMI’s newly reorganized basketball group, the Mariana Islands Basketball Federation (formerly Basketball Association of Northern Mariana Islands) is proud to release its proposed events for the first quarter of 2015. In anticipation of the upcoming 17 under and Open Micronesian basketball tournament this summer, the following leagues and events have been proposed: Island-wide Men’s and Women’s league; Inter-Government/Business league; Francisco M. Diaz Memorial youth league; Annual Settsu /Marianas Friendship tournament; FIBA 33: 3 on 3 tournament; and the Men’s and Women’s National and Junior national development program.
An organizational meeting is set for the mentioned leagues. The Francisco M. Diaz Memorial Youth league meeting is scheduled on Jan. 25 at pm at the Gilbert C. Ada conference room and the competition is open to players in the U15, U18, and U21 age groups. The Island-wide open men’s and women’s league Inter-Government/Business league meeting is slated on Jan. 27 at 6pm also at the Ada conference room.
