BECQ public water system workshop on Jan. 26

The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality’s Safe Drinking Water Program will be hosting a one-day workshop for all the CNMI’s public water systems at the Saipan World Resort’s Royal Taga Hall on Jan. 26, 2016, from 8am to 4pm.

Topics will include the revised Total Coliform Rule that will be effective by April 1, 2016, Phase II-V monitoring, lead and copper rule, Consumer Confidence report, and more. All public and private water systems and bottled water companies are urged to attend. Water system owners, consultants, public health organizations, operators, and interested individuals or companies can participate.

Workshop is free of charge; however, there is seating for 140 participants only. All participants must register by Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, to reserve seating. Registration forms may be downloaded from http://deq.gov.mp or www.marianasoperators.org and may be either faxed to 664-8540, emailed to safedrinkingwater@becq.gov.mp, or submitted to the SDWP in person at the BECQ office located at the Gualo Rai Center building in Gualo Rai.
