Water service interruption set this Thursday

Share

Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in the Kanat Tabla tank service area will experience a temporary water service interruption this week as Engineering and Operations personnel begin performance tests at the reservoir.

On Thursday, Jan. 7, CUC Water Division will secure the Kanat Tabla reservoir to conduct load testing and calculate the volume of water pumped into the tank during a five-hour period. The testing will verify the amount of water pumping through Booster Pump One to the Kanat Tabla reservoir.

The testing process will begin at 7am and the temporary service interruption will include the entire Kanat Tabla tank service area, which includes the villages of Kanat Tabla, Chalan Kiya, Finasisu, As Perdido, and Chalan Laulau. Service will be restored to the affected areas at 12pm the same day.

On Friday, Jan. 8, customers in Chalan Laulau will resume their regularly scheduled water hours from 6am to 10am, or as tank levels permit.
