WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services $1,057,767 in federal grant assistance. The grant was awarded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases and will be used DPHSS’s Immunization and Vaccines for Children Program.

“Vaccinating children is crucial to protecting our children, as well as our entire community from fatal diseases and health conditions. This grant will help Guam Public Health provide free vaccinations to children who would otherwise not be vaccinated because of an inability to pay. I look forward to Guam Public Heath continuing to provide these services to our community.”
