DEDEDO, Guam—Thanks to the generosity of Micronesian Air Cargo Services and the efforts of the Tinian Mayor’s Office, in conjunction with the Department of Youth Services, the organizers of the Marine Corps Reserves’ Toys for Tots Program in Guam delivered toys to Tinian on Dec. 18. The donated dolls, games, sports equipment, books, and stocking stuffers were collected in Guam from Oct. 1 to Dec. 14.
Now in its seventh year in the area, and due in large part to the Guam Chamber of Commerce, the Toys for Tots Program has gained the support of dozens of area retailers, architectural firms, Guam public and private schools, real estate firms, automobile dealers, banks, restaurants, civic organizations, and numerous members of the public.
Capt. Brian Ralston, action officer in support of the Toys for Tots program, expressed his appreciation to the individuals and organizations who volunteered to make this year’s campaign an outstanding success. “The generous support of our community makes the Toys for Tots program one of the most successful community events in the area. It is humbling to be a part of a child’s happiness, especially during this holiday season.”
