Fee waivers for NMC Cash for College workshop participants

Individuals who participate in the Northern Marianas College’s upcoming “Cash for College” workshop will qualify to have their NMC fall 2012 admissions application fee and placement test fees waived. The waiver represents a savings of up to $75.
The free workshop will be held on this Saturday, June 16, 2012, in Building A at the NMC As Terlaje campus. The workshop will be an ongoing session, so participants can stop by any time between 9am and 3pm.
The aim of this workshop is to assist students and their parents in maximizing scholarship opportunities that are available to students seeking to obtain a college education.
Participants will also be provided with personal, step-by-step assistance in completing college financial aid forms, focusing especially on forms for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the College Access Challenge Grant Scholarship, the Saipan Higher Education Financial Assistance program, the CNMI Scholarship, the TEACH Grant and more.
During this event, NMC Student Services representatives from counseling, financial aid, and admissions will be on hand to assist workshop participants and answer questions.
It is recommended that workshop participants bring a valid form of identification (e.g., a valid U.S. passport, copy of valid application for a U.S. passport, birth certificate, or green card), an official transcript from high school, tax forms, and proof of CNMI residency for 2010 and 2011, including proof of continuing residency.
