Govt staff, man arrested for ‘ice’
A government employee and a man were arrested over the weekend on Tinian for alleged trafficking and possession of methamphetamine or “ice.”
Didi San Nicolas Pascua, 33, an employee of the Tinian Fire Department, was arrested for trafficking and illegal possession of controlled substance. Her bail was set at $25,000 cash.
Frankie P. Cabrera, 40, was arrested for illegal possession of controlled substance. His bail was set at $5,000 cash.
Court papers did not indicate if Pascua and Cabrera are related.
Assistant public defender Cindy Nesbit was appointed as counsel for Pascua, while the court will appoint a private counsel for Cabrera.
The police were reportedly investigating Pascua’s alleged involvement in “ice” trafficking and obtained a warrant to search her home and car last Nov. 25.
Police detective Shawn Lee SN. Borja, DPS Tinian director Juan Santos Jr., and three other officers executed the warrant on Pascua’s residence last Thursday at 4:45pm.
Borja said said that Cabrera was found inside the house, sitting on the couch in the living room/kitchen area. Officers allegedly found two glass tubes with burned residue underneath the seat where Cabrera was seated.
Borja said officers also found several cut and uncut straws that contained residue of a white powdery substance.
In the bedroom, the officers allegedly found a purse that contained three baggies that had residue of a white powdery substance, as well as a bag containing a white crystalline substance and two weighing scales.
The officers also searched Cabrera’s car that was parked next to Pascua’s residence and found two glass tubes and four straws.
