Remnants of power poles to be given away

A full accounting of the power poles damaged by Typhoon Soudelor has been completed and the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. will begin disbursing the remnants of power poles today, Dec. 7.

After receiving numerous requests from government agencies and members of the community, CUC will begin disbursing the power poles’ remnants at 12:30pm in Lower Base by following the waiting list compiled by CUC Warehouse personnel.

The remnants of power poles are free to the public, available in lengths of 3 to 12 feet, and limited in quantity to four pieces per person. CUC Warehouse personnel will be on hand to disburse the poles with the assistance of a forklift.
