MAFEA anniversary bash today
The Marianas Association of Filipino Engineers and Architects is inviting all Filipino engineers and architects on Saipan and in Guam to its 20th Foundation Anniversary (1995-2015) coinciding with Pre-Christmas Party celebration today, Dec. 3, 2015. Family grief support meeting today

Free screening of Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas show
Celebrate Christmas with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir! Special guest stars will be singing sensation David Archuleta and star of stage and screen Michael York. Admission is free! The pre-recorded concert will be shown on Sunday, Dec. 6, at the Mormon Church in Chalan LauLau (beside DHL) starting at 6pm.  
Upcoming shows are as follows:
• Dec. 13: “Home for the Holidays” with Alfie Boe and Tom Brokaw
• Dec. 20: “Keep Christmas with You” with the Muppets from Sesame Street and Santino Fontana from Frozen

PH passports ready for claiming at TSL Plaza
Filipinos who had their passport applications processed almost three months ago can now claim their new passports. Those who wish to claim their passports may proceed to the Tan Holdings Legal Department office on the third floor of the TSL Plaza in Garapan. Passports can be claimed until Friday, from 9am to 5pm. DPS sets sobriety checkpoints this weekend
The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Section will be conducting sobriety checkpoint on Dec. 5 and 6, 2015.
On Saturday, Dec. 5, the first setup will be on Chalan Pale Arnold, Garapan by Taro Sue Store, on the northbound lane, from 8pm to 9:15pm. The second setup will be on Beach Road, Chalan Kanoa, in front of Triple J Wholesale, on the northbound lane, from 10:30pm to 11:45pm.

On Sunday, Dec. 6, the first setup will be on Beach Road, Chalan Lau Lau, adjacent to the residence of the late Dr. Benusto Kaipat, on the southbound lane, from 6pm to 7:45pm. The second setup will be on Chalan Monsignor Guerrero, Dandan, by Joeten Commercial Building, from 8pm to 9:15pm. (DPS)

BECQ Brigade to tackle COP beach
The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality’s Cleanup Brigade will be picking up trash at Coral Ocean Point Beach on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, starting at 8am. If you would like to volunteer, meet the BECQ representatives on Saturday at the Coral Ocean Point Beach area/parking lot at 8am. Volunteers will split into groups and clean until 10am and break for drinks and then continue, if needed. For more information about volunteering, contact the BECQ office at 664-8500/1. (BECQ)

Military training at FDM, Warning Area 517
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Air Force and Marine Corps will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times:
• Dec. 3, from 2-11pm
• Dec. 4-5, from 2-9pm
• Dec. 6, from 2-10pm
The U.S. Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on Dec. 2, from 7pm to 11pm.
The general public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators, are advised to stay clear of the areas during the dates and times indicated. (JRM)
