Inos family thanks community for support
The family of Gov. Eloy S. Inos, who is currently recovering from surgery in the U.S. mainland, has expressed their gratitude to the community for their support.
“In the midst of this Thanksgiving week, we, the children and grandchildren of Governor Inos, wish to express our profound appreciation to each and everyone of you for your healing prayers and thoughts during our father’s surgery and during his recovery,” the Inos family said in a statement yesterday.
“We are pleased that the surgery went well, and the doctors have advised that he rest to ensure a speedy recovery. We will keep you posted on further updates on his recovery.”
Acting governor Ralph DLG Torres earlier said that Inos’ stay in the hospital will require close observation and intensive care, and recovery will require Inos to undergo lengthy therapy.
“He is not expected to return to the Northern Marianas until late December or early January 2016,” Torres said.
Inos’ doctors had determined that the governor required surgery after an “echocardiogram” procedure, according to Inos spokesman Ivan Blanco.
