Jeralyn Castillo and Sarah Allen teamed up in towing the Ladybirds to the easy win, as they knocked in three goals apiece. Castillo made her hat-trick in succession in the first half with her first goal going in right in the opening minute of the match. Her last two were registered in the fifth and ninth minute, while Allen also scored in the first half, finding the back of the net in the 33rd minute to give the Ladybirds a promising 4-1 advantage.

The Kickers notched its first goal courtesy of Diana Maniacop in the 19th minute and then moved within two off an own goal in the 34th. However, the Ladybirds got the goal back when Gillian Villagomez lit up the board in the 39th minute to keep the Ladybirds’ safe distance at halftime, 5-1.

In the second half, the Ladybirds drew both of its goals from Sarah Allen, who scored in the 41st and 57th minute, allowing her team to bounce back from a sorry 3-4 loss to the Flyers last Nov. 8.

The Ladybirds fell short in its game against the Flyers despite getting help from Castillo and Allen. Allen handed the Ladybirds its lone goal in the first half, while the Flyers collected four to gain enough cushion. Guinevere Borja canned back-to-back goals with her conversion in the eighth and 26th minute, while Irish Pagarao and Jeraldine Castillo nailed the two others in the 32nd and 34th, respectively.

A Jeralyn shot in the 42nd minute sliced the deficit to 2, 2-4, and the Ladybirds moved closer off another goal from the older Castillo 10 minutes later. However, the Flyers hung tough on defense in the remaining minutes of the match to preserve its lead and escape with the close victory.

The Flyers made it two in a row as it won via forfeit against the Divas in the other game last Sunday. The Flyers got the free victory as the Divas failed to muster enough players for the weekend opener. Only Anela Duenas, Krizel Tuason, Chloe Salvosa, and Renita Fleming showed up for the game.

Before giving up the easy win to the Flyers, the Divas also came off a 0-4 defeat at the hands of the Kickers last Nov. 8.

Jayda Mendoza led the Kickers’ shutout triumph over the Divas as she tallied two goals in the second half. Karleen Reyes and Kyla Ito recorded the two other goals for the Kickers in the first half with the former scoring in the fourth minute and the latter in the 15th. Mendoza fired her first goal in the 58th and the second and last nine minutes later.
