Joyner touts amazing experience; ready to compete
After days of whirlwind tours, forums, charity work, and rehearsals, the crowning moment is set tomorrow, Nov. 5, for the 2015 Miss International Pageant in Tokyo, Japan, and the islands’ ambassador, Jian Joyner, says the experience has been amazing so far.

Seventy delegates from around the world are poised for the 55th annual competition that encourages community involvement and global unity.
“It has been an amazing experience, a lot different from what I am used to, but I am glad to be a part of this. Even though I have been to Japan many times before, there were so many new places that I went to during this trip and so many new things I learned about Japan,” said Joyner.
“I have also made friends with such wonderful ladies and we are already planning to meet again in our home countries,” she added.
Joyner gave away fresh Marianas Coffee, Chamorro and Coconut Cookies from Herman’s Bakery, and island-inspired postcards by the MV Print Club to each of the delegates as a token of Marianas hospitality.
Tomorrow, she will be competing in the national costume, swimwear, evening gown, and question and answer components of the pageant, which will be aired throughout Japan this Saturday.
