The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality’s Cleanup Brigade will again deviate from its regular schedule in support of the rescheduled International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, starting at 8am.

If you would like to volunteer for the ICC, contact Jihan Buniag at 664-8513 or register at http://goo.gl/forms/EwZF85qST6.

This cleanup will count toward participation in scheduled monthly brigades. This month, outstanding brigade volunteers who participated in at least 10 monthly cleanups will receive a brigade cap and those who participated in at least three cleanups will receive a brigade T-shirt.

Last month’s Pau Pau Beach Cleanup drew 75 volunteers from Garapan Elementary School, Koblerville Elementary School, Saipan Southern High School, and NSA T-Ball. Best Sunshine’s Corporate Social Responsibility Team cut the grass and chopped up fallen trees. Over 740 lbs of trash plus green waste was removed from the beach and properly disposed of.

For more information about volunteering, contact the BECQ office at 664-8500/1. (BECQ)
