IT&E’s LTE network is now in its testing phase
IT&E announced Friday that it has successfully completed the installation of its LTE equipment in all sites planned for 2015 and that it has begun testing this equipment and LTE service in the Hafa Adai, Gualo Rai, Susupe, Kannat Tabla, and Chalan Kanoa areas of Saipan. Testing will begin in the Mt. Tapochau area within the next two weeks.
“We are delighted that we have completed installation of this equipment ahead of schedule and that our test results, so far, have been very positive” said John Compton, IT&E’s chief operating officer. “While our customers are welcome to enjoy this new high speed data service for themselves during this testing, we are advising the public that the LTE network availability and LTE data speeds may vary greatly during our testing phase and IT&E requests the public’s understanding and patience during this period. The current GSM, CDMA, and HSPPA networks will not be affected by any of our testing efforts, however.”
When testing has been completed and the network is performing correctly in all locations, IT&E will publicly announce the official availability of this new high-speed data service.
