Red Rice will have to wait for a couple of more days to determine its finals foe in the 2015 Blue Haus/IT&E Inter-Color Basketball League as yesterday’s semis game between Makalaro Lang and Mamba was suspended anew due to rain.

League coordinator Elmer Esdrelon said the Makalaro Lang-Mamba duel for the second and last finals berth will be played this Saturday, weather permitting. If the Final Four pairing will be rained-out for the third time, it will be rescheduled for Sunday, while the winner-take-all title match will be held on Oct. 31.

The Makalaro Lang-Mamba semis encounter was originally set for last Saturday, but was cancelled due to Tropical Storm Champi, while the Final Four pairing between Red Rice and Pasion De Amor went ahead last Sunday. Red Rice downed Pasion De Amor, 91-77, to notch the first finals ticket. Pasion De Amor, Red Rice, and Mamba made it to the semifinals after surviving their first playoff round assignments, while Makalaro Lang bagged the outright Final Four berth for topping the single-elimination round with its 6-2 record.

Week 2 soccer games moved to Nov. 21
Meanwhile, Northern Mariana Islands Football Association is planning to hold on Nov. 21 the 2015 NMIFA Youth Fall League’s Week 2 matches that were suspended because of Tropical Storm Champi.

Games will be played in the same venue and schedule with the girls U15 matches that feature the pairings of Matansa-Shirleys, MP United-Tan Holdings, and Paire-Kanoa to take place at the Hopwood Junior High School Field.

Boys U15 teams Shirley’s and Paire will also play at Hopwood, while the Matansa-Tan Holdings 2 and MP United-Tan Holdings 1 tiffs will be played at the Oleai Sports Complex Field. In the U18 division, Paire and Matansa will collide in the first match at the Oleai pitch, while Tan Holdings and MP United will take center stage in the second game. Back at Hopwood, Kanoa will face Paire at Pitch 1 for the co-ed U12A division, while Pitch 2 will have the game between MP United and Tan Holdings.

NMIFA will follow the remaining schedule of matches in the competitive age group contests.
