NMSA monthly meetings resume next week

The Northern Marianas Sports Association will resume its monthly meeting next week, Oct. 8, after power was restored at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium yesterday.

NMSA president Mike White said made the announcement in an email sent to board members and representatives of each sports association and federation.

White said he moved the NMSA meeting to next week since the Ada Gym conference room and its offices still needs to be cleaned.

“The good news, power has just been restored to the Ada Gym. The bad news, the conference room is badly in need of cleaning and is in no shape to hold our monthly meeting,” said White.

“The gym staff advised me that there is no way that the cleaning can be finished [Thursday]. I am therefore rescheduling our meeting to next Thursday at 7pm.”

NMSA failed to hold its monthly meetings for two months, in August and September, after Typhoon Soudelor left Saipan without power and water.

The CNMI’s performance in the last Pacific Games in Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, upcoming events, and the Athletes of the Month—if there’s any—are the expected topics to be discussed.
