Road remains uncleared
According to DPW Secretary in last Friday’s Variety, almost all debris from secondary and major roads is gone. I beg to differ with that statement.

I live on Navy Hill Rd., a major road, and the worst in the Commonwealth. The day after the typhoon the residents of this road worked until 3pm to clear the unpaved portion. No one from the CNMI government did anything to clear it, except for one Tuesday afternoon two weeks ago when a front loader supervised by the mayor’s staff cleared debris from a small section.
Today, the road is still pretty much as it was when the residents cleared it on Aug. 3. In fact, one place still has a tree hanging over the road just waiting to fall. (See picture 1)
Additionally, the road itself is almost impassable, with ruts over a foot deep (See picture 2). The road is badly in need of grading and I call on Mr. Ada to provide assistance. The people living along Navy Hill Rd. in Chalan Galaide deserve the same support as other taxpayers.
