Burglary at the VFW

Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help for a burglary and theft incident that occurred at the Veteran of Foreign Wars located on Palm St., Garapan.

On Sept. 1, 2015, at about 4:20pm, police responded to the crime scene. A few minutes before reporting the crime, the bar manager arrived with her husband and discovered the front door shutters to the bar open. The generator was on the stairwell and out of place. It seems the suspect(s) attempted to steal the generator but were unsuccessful. The manager checked the bar area and discovered several liquor bottles valued at over a $1,000 stolen, including a 42-inch Vizio flat screen television valued at about $700.

The suspect(s) allegedly gained access to the second floor by entering through the southern window area and exited through the front stairwell entrance.
