Guam musicians, runners, BoG raise over $8.4K for Saipan

HAGATNA, Guam—During the week of Aug. 17, 2015, local musicians performing at Guam’s The Venue, The Joint, and Club Icon Clubs raised $6,200 and partnered with Bank of Guam to directly benefit Saipan victims of Typhoon Soudelor. Led by Chiabe “Bok” Pangelinan, over 30 musicians performed at the three local clubs on Aug. 10, 11, and 15.
Following this event, the Guam Running Club organized a 5K Run on Aug. 15, 2015, and raised $2,223, also contributing those funds to the Bank of Guam’s Soudelor relief effort.

Funds are still being accepted at the Bank of Guam “Soudelor Aid” account, and will be distributed as follows: 40 percent to Saipan Red Cross, 40 percent to Karidat, and 20 percent to Salvation Army.
In addition to the account established for “Soudelor Aid,” Bank of Guam is offering a 90-day loan payment deferment program to its Saipan loan customers in good standing.
Bank of Guam has also extended financial assistance to its employees on Saipan in support of their needs during the recovery period.
