According to Bayani president Mario Mayuga, the fans were what the clients at the center said they needed.

“When we came here, we saw the ceiling fans that were broken and not working. At that time, we promised to replace those fans and this afternoon we’re fulfilling our promise. It’s nice to be of service to all of you,” Mayuga said.

The donation was part of the proceeds the Filipino association made from their 14th anniversary fundraiser, the Queen of the World gay beauty pageant, held last Saturday.

Aside from Bayani members, fourth runner up Babes Asinero and 2015 Queen Cris Manuel were also there to facilitate the donation.

The organization will also be responsible for the installation of the fans.

Office on Aging director Walter Manglona said he is thankful for the donation.

“We are planning to do some renovations around here and one of the things that’s on our list is the ceiling fans but we’re truly blessed to have the kind generosity of this group to show up and make these donation to our senior citizens,” Manglona said.

“With these ceiling fans in place, it’ll make the patio a lot cooler and it’s going to be a lot more breezy for our citizens to be out there when they play their daily games,” he added.

The Saipan Seniors Advisory Council also thanked the Bayani Association for their support.

“Thank you very much for being very generous. I wish you more success in the future,” SSAC president Maria Salinas said.
