BoH Foundation donates $25K to Saipan relief efforts

HONOLULU, Hawaii—Bank of Hawaii Foundation announced Friday contributions totaling $25,000 to help relief efforts underway on Saipan, due to Typhoon Soudelor.

The American Red Cross, Pacific Islands Region, will receive $15,000 and $10,000 will go to The Salvation Army – Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division.

Donna Tanoue, Bank of Hawaii Foundation president, said, “We recognize that the devastation is widespread and recovery efforts will be extensive.  The American Red Cross and The Salvation Army will help ensure that funds are directed to people and areas with the highest need.”

Bank of Hawaii has two branches in Saipan: Chalan Kanoa and Garapan. (BoH)
