Monday morning found Saipan reeling from the devastation of Typhoon Soudelor. Saipan residents pulled together in an effort to help clear debris from roads and the homes of neighbors. For its part, on Monday and well into the evening, Best Sunshine International management focused their efforts on organizing typhoon relief to first confirm and ensure the safety of their internal employees and then engaged in talks with government officials on how to most effectively address the needs of the local community as a whole.

On Tuesday morning, Best Sunshine International put their plan into action by immediately implementing a procedure to reduce water consumption at the training casino. They then donated four vans to two shelters for transportation of those most affected by the typhoon. One local resident stated, “Some of those most affected have to travel to the food stamp office, others have to do laundry.”

On Wednesday, Best Sunshine management and staff worked together to donate 600 bottles of water in 30 cases to the local shelters. On Thursday, they also worked with the mayor’s office and donated 800 bottles of water.

Key organizers at Best Sunshine stated, “Together with the people of Saipan, we’re working every day to ensure that we help to meet the needs of the community.” (Best Sunshine)
