Jokers rule four more Bud Light Cup divisions

Jokers-backed teams were triumphant in four more division matches in the 2015 Bud Light Cup last week in various bars on Saipan.

The Jokers Destroyers scored a 9-6 win over the Sand Juvy Pythons to complete their dominating performance in the Masters division, while the Jokers Darty Flights tripped the Smoke Pub Bull It, 8-5, in the Chichirika C division.

The Destroyers also defeated the Sand Juvy Shoot Balut, 9-6, and sister team Darting Chelu’s on their way to ruling the division, while the Darty Flight, also the regular season champions, scored an 8-4 decision over the Abyss DNA Jump-It and blanked the Tokers, 8-0, in their own race-to-eight contests.

The Spartans, meanwhile, topped the Kingfisher division after an 8-1 triumph over the Smoke Pub High Flyers. They defeated the Naked Fish Hafa Mas in the semifinals, 8-4, and scored an 8-0 shutout win against the Route 33 Dart Knights.

The Atarashi Boyz, another team supported by Jokers Bar & Grill in Garapan, topped the Tuesday B division, while the Latte Sparts were the Fanihi champions. The Jonny’s Kyodai clinched the Flame Tree crown.

In other results, the Sand Juvy Vicious Darties, completed an 8-3 crushing of sister squad Try Luck in their own finals matchup. The Darites defeated the Abyss Pasawayz, 8-5, to clinch a finals berth.

The Jokers Warriors also remain in contention in the A division, which just concluded the regular season. They will face Sand Juvy Sakude on July 6 with the winner advancing to the semifinals set on July 13.

The A division has concluded its regular season with the Route 33 Mafia claiming the top podium with a 197-109 card, following a 15-2 thrashing of the Sand Juvy Sakude. Route 33 Mafia was playing the Naked Fish Darrty at press time.

The Smoke Pub Voyagers nipped the Sand Juvy Predators, 9-8, and were also playing against the same team at press time. The winner of the Darrty-Mafia game and the Voagers-Predators match will clash in the July 6 quarterfinals.

The Sand Juvy Snipers clipped the Smoke Pub Huntlaw, 13-4, the Sand Juvy 101 Proofers downed the Warriors, 11-6, while the Darrty dumped the Sand Juvy No Fear, 13-4.

Other quarterfinals matches on July 6 will have the 101 Proofers battling the Sand Juvy Snipers, Sakude clashing with the Warriors, and the Huntlaw colliding with No Fear in different venues.

Awarding for the regular season and Bud Light Cup will be on Aug. 16 at the Pacific Islands Club Charley’s Cabaret.
