They were also asked to write an essay describing challenges they would encounter as an incoming freshman in college. Those recipients are Joann Bandales of Saipan Southern High School, Maricar Valdez of Marianas High School, Peter Babauta of Mount Carmel School, Pearl Cataluna of Marianas Baptist Academy, and Noemi Caacbay of Marianas High School. Each of the five recipients were presented a check worth $1,000 and gift bags from Joeten. The check presentation was held at the Joeten Susupe executive conference room.
The Joeten Daidai Foundation began from a vision of the late Jose “Joeten” C. Tenorio and his wife Soledad “Daidai” T. Tenorio with the foundation’s mission of contributing to educational, religious, and charitable purposes. It was their way of continuously giving back to the community. The foundation would not be possible without the unending support of the Joeten affiliates and all their diligent employees as well as many other gracious contributors. (PR)
