Claiming of food stamp replacement due to Dolphin begins today
Claiming of food stamp replacements from the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs’ Nutrition Assistance Program will begin today.
Households who submitted declarations of food stamp losses as a result of Typhoon Dolphin can pick up the replacements for their NAP coupon.
According to NAP director Walter Macaranas, a total of 751 households filed for a replacement. Some 550 replacements were filed in Saipan and Northern Islands.
NAP scheduled days for replacement pick-ups per island.
For Saipan and Northern Islands, those who filed can claim today until Friday, June 19, from 8am to 4:30pm at the JTV Building in As Lito.
Those who applied for replacements on Tinian can claim tomorrow, Thursday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm at the San Jose Gym, while those on Rota may claim on Friday also from 8:30am to 4:30pm at the NMC Rota Instructional Site, Room 1A.
In its announcement, NAP reminded the households that it requires them to bring their NAP ID card along with a valid photo identification card in order to pick up their coupon replacements.
The issued NAP coupon replacements to eligible households will be valid up to June 30, 2015.
