A fact-finding trip to familiarize Saipan residents with integrated resorts in Singapore will air on Channel 14.

The trip, which was expected to help residents learn and be familiar with the integrated resort industry that Best Sunshine Int., Ltd. is bringing to the CNMI, had participating local students and some members of the media take part in a five-day familiarization tour of Singapore’s Resort World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands Hotel.

The videotaped tour will be broadcast over four episodes, with Saipan residents discussing and interacting with the residens of the city-state and the way integrated resorts appeal to them.

The first episode will appear this Wednesday, June 17. The following episodes will air on June 22 and 23. All episodes will be televised from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Local residents had the chance to join the Singapore trip by submitting a one-page essay on why he/she is interested and what he/she expects from participating in the contest.

The contest, called “Integrated Resort Fact Finding Contest,” was marketed and coordinated by TV show John Gonzales Live.

Saipan residents who visited Singapore with host John O. Gonzales were Charlene S. Gonzales, Nikkael Agustines, Paul Zak, Victoria C. Pangelinan, Dwayne Donovan Kaipat, Saipan Chamber of Commerce president Alex Sablan, and Jayson Camacho of the Saipan Tribune.

The film will also show the residents being interviewed by Gonzales himself on what they actually experienced and what they like and didn’t like.

Best Sunshine, with its 40-year casino license agreement with the CNMI, promises to build a $7.1-billion integrated casino resort on Saipan, and recently inked a deal with CNMI officials on an amended casino agreement allowing the company to construct a live-training facility at the T Galleria in Garapan.
