The Marianas Baptist Academy held its 28th commencement exercise for both its junior high and high school students at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe last Friday afternoon.

MBA’s high school valedictorian was Won Woo Choi, who will be studying Applied Mathematics at Texas A&M.

MBA’s three salutatorians were Pearl Caresse M. Cataluna, Cloency Zuriel Cha, and Alina Yoon.

In middle school, the students with highest percentile average—from first to third place—were Ian Rei Cataluna, Matt Jason B. Moran, and Esther Hansol Huh.

Notably, Cataluna and Moran were the youngest in the class, having skipped the sixth grade.

On Friday, MBA graduated about 11 high school students. They are all heading to college off-island.

They also graduated about 16 eighth grade students from their middle school.

Right now, MBA is accepting fifth to 12th grade students for upcoming school years 2015-2016. Open enrollment is ongoing. The school is located in Dandan, across the Shell gas station.
