The Northern Marianas College is inviting parents of graduating high school seniors from CNMI high schools to its annual Parent Summit event.

The aim of the Parent Summit is to engage parents with practical information and resources to help their graduating senior prepare for and succeed in college. Topics of the summit include: “the value of a college education;” “paying for college;” “how to be a supportive parent;” and more.

According to Leo Pangelinan, dean of Student Services, attendance at the Parent Summits is a great way for parents to learn how to become meaningfully involved in their children’s pursuit of higher education.

“Participants will also gain strategies for how to provide encouragement, particularly about academic issues related to their college-going children,” Pangelinan added. “There will also be discussions about the many resources that are available for college students.”

-Saipan July 11, 8:30am-1pm Saipan World Resort.

-Tinian June 20, 2:30pm-7:30pm Dynasty
