HANMI Golf tourney applications available online

Golfers interested in joining the 14th Annual HANMI Charity Golf Classic Tournament on June 20, 2015, at LaoLao Bay Golf Resort can now download applications at www.saipanhotels.org. Registration is limited to the first 144 paid players.

“To make it more convenient for players, the registration form is now printable from the HANMI website,” said tournament chair Das Krishnan. “We’d like to remind players to also read and sign the liability release on page 2 to be eligible to play.”

According to Krishnan, the prize list for the tourney now totals over $100,000 in cash, cars, airline tickets, hotel stays, and other prizes. Hole-in-one prizes include: $20,000 cash from Century Tours, a Nissan 370Z Sport from Club C, a 2015 Mazda3i from Triple J Five Star Wholesale Foods and Hertz Rent A Car, two round-trip airline tickets to the United States or Canada from Delta Air Lines, airline tickets from Asiana Airlines, and $3,000 cash from Traders Insurance.

HANMI celebrates its 30th anniversary of “Building a Stronger Commonwealth with You” this year. A voluntary association representing 12 hotels and numerous supporting industries in the Northern Mariana Islands, HANMI was established in 1985 as a professional forum for the hospitality industry of the NMI. Member hotels are staffed with approximately 1,600 employees providing service to more than 2,500 guest rooms. A portion of the tournament proceeds will go toward charitable organizations.

Registration forms are also available at Mariana Country Club, Pacific Islands Club Saipan, Fiesta Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency Saipan, and LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort. Early bird tournament fee is $110 for payments received by 3pm, June 18. The fee includes green fee and the awards banquet. The fee increases to $130 after the early bird deadline. For an additional $30, players may also compete for nearest to the pin, most accurate drive, and most accurate drive circle hole. The tournament will start at 7am.

The tournament features two categories: Championship and Blackjack Double Peoria. First place winners of the Championship Flight will receive $500, a trophy, and a hotel stay at one of the HANMI member hotels. Second place finishers will receive $300 and one-night stay gift certificate from one HANMI’s member hotels, and third place winners will receive $200 and one-night stay gift certificate from one HANMI’s member hotels.

In the Blackjack Double Peoria category, winners of the 1st-5th place will each receive $500, winners of the 6th-10th place will each receive $300, and winners of the 11th-15th place will each receive $200. Winners for the 1st-5th place will also each receive a hotel room night stay.

Five consolations prizes of $100 each and five consolation prizes of lunch gift certificates
