Positive outcome of minimum wage
Many of you out there think that if you raise the minimum wage it will harm the economy. I have proven that wrong from hiring construction workers for a home improvement project at my house. At that time the minimum wage was $3.05 an hour and the federal minimum wage was $5 or more an hour. I hired three people to do the project and I offered them $5 an hour. Well, not only did they finish the project nicely and on time, but they also offered me tips on where to get my materials and supplies for a good deal and where to rent equipment. So, my $10,000 project ended up costing me $6,000, which means I saved $4,000.
So you see, good things come your way when you also offer good products. Businesses with bad products end up with less or no customers; businesses with good products attract a lot of customers.
If we raise the minimum wage, locals might work in the private sector, plus employees will work harder and better to keep their job. Who knows, businesses might expand and bring home more bacon. So, look on the bright side, don’t be greedy, for it will make everyone around you greedy too.
