Friends of the Arts presents ‘interactive’ play

Share

The Friends of the Arts will be presenting its final play of the 2014-15 season, 3 Doors to Death, this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 29, 30 and 31. Don’t be misled by the title. It’s a light-hearted murder mystery that will get you involved. The play starts at 7pm each night at the Marianas High School Dolphin Theater. This is in the MHS main parking lot in the large blue metal building running parallel with Beach Road. The cost is $15 for adult non-FOA members, $12 for FOA members, and $8 for students. Season ticket holders and advertising sponsors have reserved seats.

A little bit of information about the play: It’s interactive! You, the audience, will actually decide which way the action will go and, eventually, who killed Gordon Forrest.

In the play, the unpopular Forrest is mysteriously murdered during a rehearsal of an old British thriller, Three Doors to Death. Plenty of people had good cause to wish him gone. Things will heat up when the homicide detective appears and, with you the audience to guide him, has the murder re-enacted. Before deciding which direction the plot will go, you will be given clues, motives and suspects (the actors, director, cleaning woman—even the corpse!). You, the audience, get to decide, not only who the killer is, but how the story will end. Will the killer go to jail or be allowed to escape (and what an escape it will be!)?

So come and enjoy the play. You can reserve seats by contacting Frank Gibson at flgibson@yahoo.com. (FOA)
