Chamber group to host ‘Run For Nepal on June 6
The Nepalese Community of Saipan, in partnership with the Saipan Young Professionals (a committee of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce), will be hosting a “Run For Nepal” event on Saturday, June 6, in front of the Garapan Public Market (Garapan Fishing Base across Kristo Rai Church). They are encouraging community members, students and families to join them as they “run for a cause.” The event will consist of a 5K run from the Garapan Public Market to the former Hakubotan building and back. It is open to all students, families. and community members.
Funds from this event will go directly to the survivors of the recent Nepal earthquake, through the Nepalese Community of Saipan. Registration fee is $10. Registration forms are available at Java Joe’s in Dandan or at Garapan Fishing Base on the day of the event. The run will begin on June 6 at 5:30am with prizes for the Top 3 finishers!
“This is a very worthy cause that we are proud to stand behind,” said SYP chair Mable Ayuyu and co-chair Bobby Cruz of the Saipan Young Professionals Committee.
