6 vehicles burglarized in Chinatown

Six vehicles parked in an apartment in Chinatown were burglarized early Friday morning and cash, items, and documents were stolen.

The burglary was discovered at about 6am when a parent, who was about to bring a child to school, noticed that their car had been damaged and some items were missing, Saipan Tribune learned.

All burglarized vehicles were in the parking lot of the three-story B&R Apartment near a Korean church.

The suspect or suspects managed to enter the cars by breaking the rear vent windows.

A resident said the burglary possibly happened at 4am because the alarm in one of the affected cars went off at that time.

This was the first time that cars at the B&R Apartment had been burglarized.

Saipan Tribune, however, learned that a similar burglary of cars happened also at an apartment along Beach Road, Garapan in the last few weeks.

Police have yet to release information about these incidents.
