No stopping Spartans in Kingfisher division
The Jokers Spartans will have to wait for three more weeks before they are officially declared champions in the Kingfisher C division of the Bud Light-Saipan Electronics Darts Association’s Winter/Spring 2015 season.
The Spartans are virtual champions with a division-best 128-52 record against the 95-85 card of the Route 33 Dart Knights. The Sand Juvy Sea-Ricks is at third with a 92-88 slate.
The only way either the Dart Knights or the Sea-Ricks could dislodge the Spartans is if they win by shutouts in their last three remaining games and the division leaders lose big time in their own matches.
The Spartans increased their lead to 33 wins after posting an 11-4 triumph over the Sea-Ricks. The Dart Knights’ 10-5 victory over the Jokers Chagi Fan hardly put a dent on the Spartans’ huge lead.
The cellar-dwelling Smoke Pub High Flyers edged the Naked Fish Hafa Mas, 9-6, in their own bid to end their season on a winning note.
The Spartans and Dart Knights collide in today’s match with the latter aiming to close in on the former’s league-best record. The Sea-Ricks will visit the High Flyers while Chagi Fan hosts Hafa Mas in the other games. The results of the rest of the divisions form last week are as follows:
