Joeten foundation gives $20K for Maysak relief
The Joeten group of companies, through their charitable arm, the Joeten-Dai Dai Foundation, has pledged $20,000 of in-kind support through the American Red Cross NMI Chapter to help families during their recovery in the wake of Typhoon Maysak.

“The foundation’s support is perfect timing as the critical long-term recovery phase is just beginning,” said John Hirsh, executive director of the NMI Red Cross. “Oftentimes when the emergency supplies have been delivered, the public moves on to the next disaster and forgets that long-term recovery can take months or even years. Joeten’s support of construction supplies and other critically needed items will go a long way to help families in Chuuk and Yap.”
The Joeten Dai Dai Foundation is one of leading philanthropic organizations in Micronesia, providing support through educational scholarships, grants to various non-profit organizations such as MINA, Commonwealth Cancer Coalition, and many others.
“The foundation would not be able to provide help without the support of the hundreds of hardworking employees of the Joeten Group of Companies. Each of our affiliates provides income to the foundation, which allows us to give back to our community in meaningful and important ways,” said Patty McDonald, manager of the foundation. “Being able to help our brother and sisters in FSM is important to us and we hope these contributions will help improve lives that were affected by the recent storm.” (PR)
