The Jokers Homeboyz and Abyss Titans try to catch up with Route 33 Alamo Car Rental, which is still on top of the Budweiser-Saipan Billiards Association Open 8-Ball Thursday League.

Route 33 holds a 91-59 record to enjoy an eight-win lead over the Homeboyz and Titans, who are tied from second to third with 83-67 slates. The Abyss Rack ‘N’ Roll and Wild Bills are also closely behind at 82-68.

Route 33 increased its lead after a 10-5 triumph over Jonny’s Team SCS (64-86). The Homeboyz and Titans could have narrowed down the lead, but encountered mixed results in their last week’s games over separate opponents.

The Homeboyz found the Smoke Pub Magic 8-Ball a tough foe as they only settled for an 8-7 decision, while the Titans were at the losing end against the Barcode Hobbies Deadshot, 8-7.

Abyss Rack ‘N’ Roll and Wild Bill’s could also contend for the crown or at least a top three finish but need to rack up more wins to dislodge the title favorites.

Rack ‘N’ Roll scored an easy 12-3 win over the Barcode Breakers (46-104), while Wild Bill’s suffered a 10-5 defeat at the hands of the Jokers Wonderpool Aces (71-79).

Route 33 takes on Magic 8-Ball (76-74) in Thursday’s Week 11, while the Titans visit the Homeboyz. The Breakers face the Deadshots in a an all-Barcode match, the Rack ‘N’ Roll clash with the Wonderpool Aces, and Wild Bills battle Team SCS.

In the Tuesday League, cellar-dwelling Abyss Homeboyz II (63-87) forced the Smoke Pub Armatech Hustlers to a 9-6 win, but the latter remains atop the standings with a 91-59 mark against the 81-69 slate of the Jokers IT&E Voyagers, a 10-5 loser to the third-running Abyss Crazy 8 (73-77)

The Smoke Pub Ali’I Destroyers (70-80) escaped with an 8-7 victory against the Jokers STR8 Shooters (72-78).

Tonight’s matches will have the Voyagers hosting the Homeboyz II, the Hustlers visiting the Destroyers, and the STR8 Shooters battling Crazy 8.
