It’s going to be a Stars-and-Stripes theme for the annual Las Vegas Night fundraiser of the Rotary Club of Saipan.
Rotary secretary Laila Y. Boyer said Tuesday at the club’s regular meeting that they changed the theme after moving the date of the event.
The Rotary Club of Saipan earlier announced that the Las Vegas Night will have a Cinco de Mayo theme as the event was originally slated for May 5 at the Fiesta Resort & Spa in Garapan.
But to have enough time to prepare for the event, Rotary decided to put off the event to July 14 at Saipan World Resort’s Taga Hall from 7pm to midnight.
Las Vegas Night is Rotary’s signature annual fundraising event that encourages the public to play poker, blackjack, and other gambling games for a good cause. Proceeds from the event help fund the organization’s various projects that benefit the community.
This year’s Las Vegas Night proceeds will be used to build a children’s park in Kagman, the island’s biggest village.
Boyer disclosed that a total of 5,000 tickets will be printed and sold.
Tickets can be purchased for $5 per ticket or $20 per booklet of five tickets for a chance to win in the grand prize of $10,000 or a brand new car and other exciting prizes during the raffle draw.
