Misdiagnosis

Dr. Brian Sullivan should be most capable of simple research. But he must have been hearing the echo of babies crying in the ward and decided to be a “cry baby” too as to misdiagnose the issue.

The piece was purposely written in impersonal fashion out of respect for the other doctors and nurses who give it their all, i.e., ER, floor, and ICU. You were the one who belittled the surgeon by actually using his name. I know the truth hurts but journalistic diagnosis in this case was prescribed with real set of documents from CHC, including an interview where I got my information directly from the horse’s mouth.

Your claim that you could get better pay in U.S. hospitals raises yet a more focused query: Then why are you here, sir? Is it because of perks like free transportation and housing? Would you have come out if you were to pay for both expenses? But you couldn’t pass up a stint in the tropics where you’re here basically on a prolonged vacation paid for by taxpayers.

Morale is equally low everywhere, especially among simple folks in the villages. And if there’s any reason I opted to write about CHC it’s because it matters to me that it stays open, being the sole hospital out here. Nothing sinister came with that piece.

Like in any other profession, there are good and bad apples and right now the fact that you missed diagnosing truth from fiction tells me a lot about your overblown ego more so than your capabilities as an MD. Get your facts straight. Shame on you!
