Donations sought for UFO Good Friday service
The United Filipino Organizations will be conducting its annual community service to all Mt. Tapochau devotees on Good Friday, April 3, 2015. As in the past years, UFO will be serving free food and water to all individual along the route going up to the Mt. Tapochau summit. UFO is now accepting in-kind donations like disposable cups, spoons, plates, trash bags, bottled water, candies, eggs, among others. During the events, UFO will also accept membership application for the “Bantay-Kapwa” project (Helping-Hand project) at the site. Transfer station, Marpi landfill closed Friday
The Lower Base Transfer Station and the Marpi Landfill will be closed on Friday, April 3, 2015, in observance of Good Friday. Regular schedule will resume on Saturday, April 4, 2015, from 7:30am to 11:30am and from 12:30pm to 4pm. (DPW)

All Prior Service Trust Fund beneficiaries whose monthly benefit checks are allotted to Bank of Guam, Bank of Hawaii, Back of Saipan, First Hawaiian Bank, Forcht Bank-(Somerset KY), and Wells Fargo Bank-(Lynnwood, WA):
In order to fulfill the Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs’ requirement to provide the continuation of funding to Prior Service and to confirm the continuing eligibility of its beneficiaries, you are required to complete a questionnaire and return it to us within 30 days upon receipt. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in the suspension of benefits.
Stop by our office to pick up a questionnaire or call to inform us of your Post Office mailing address so we can mail it to you. Our office’s physical location is at Quarters No. 1201, Isleta Court, Capital Hill, Saipan, MP 96950. Military training at Warning Area 517, FDM
The U.S. Coast Guard will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on March 30, from 8am to 4pm. The U.S. Air Force will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on March 31, from 10am to 3pm. The general public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear from the areas during the dates and times indicated.
W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising of 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (PR)
