Cape Air/United Express cancelled their flights between Guam and the CNMI yesterday due to maintenance issues.

To accommodate affected passengers, United provided extra flights last night using a Boeing 737-700 aircraft.

According to Cape Air/ United public relations office, the United jet was scheduled to depart Guam on March 26 at 8pm and is expected to arrive on Rota at 8:33pm. Then, the flight is scheduled to depart Rota at 9:08pm and arrive on Saipan at 9:31pm. The flight will then depart Saipan at 10:06pm and arrive in Guam at 10:46pm.

“Our support teams in Guam, Saipan, and Rota are providing assistance to passengers to make the necessary arrangements for them to complete their travel,” said Cape Air in a statement. “We realize this is an inconvenience to our customers and we apologize for the disruption.”

Their ATR42 aircraft was reportedly sitting at the Francisco C. Ada International Airport last night.

The month of March has seen a slew of cancelled flights. Earlier this month, flights were cancelled for as long as a week, also due to reported technical issues. Some flights were cancelled in February and January.
